Teach Yourself To Sing Like A Bird

Teach Yourself To Sing Like A Bird

Teach yourself to sing but first learn to relax. You don’t need to be a naturally gifted performer in order to carry a tune. If you can teach yourself to cook, sew, or ride a bike, then you can teach yourself to sing. Teach yourself to sing by figuring out what your vocal range is. You’ll need a piano or keyboard. If you don’t have your own, sneak into your high school or church choir room! There’s often times when no one is around and they are usually unlocked. Once you are at the keyboard you want to locate the right keys. If you’re a girl find the middle G key. If you’re a guy you want to move an octave down from middle G. (If you don’t know what an octave is, search the internet and find out!)

Now that you found the middle G key try to match it vocally. Don’t be scared just open your mouth and say LA.  Keep going down the scale until you reach the lowest note you can comfortably match. This is your vocal range. (Teach yourself to sing by expanding your vocal range.  Practice matching lower and higher keys).  Now that you’ve figured out your vocal range it’s time to practice. bi by repeatedly going through each note and trying to match its tone.  Be gentle with your voice, you don’t want to overdo it and damage your vocal chords. (Tip: It’s a good idea to have a bottle of water with you!)
